Scaling up smart solutions in the deep south of Europe: Seville, Andalucia.

June 13th and 14th the CASA study visit takes place in Sevilla, Andalucia, Spain. The region of Andalucia organises this event to show what reality looks like in the field of health and social care. About 50 participants from 13 European regions will learn about the initiatives, projects and centers that are focussing on smart solutions for independent living.

An extensive programme of activities ranging from presentations, specific session and on site visits allows participants to acquire ‘on the ground’ knowledge about the different projects and initiatives. They are under the responsibility of the Andalusian Public Health Sector (APHS), with more than 100.000 qualified healthcare professionals.

The participants to the study visit are welcomed by Jose Luis Rocha, General Secretary for Quality and Innovation, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Regional Government of Andalucia. After the opening session, participants will learn more about the Andalusian Public Health Strategy, with emphasis on the implementation and development of ICT-solutions in the field of  healthcare.

A practical approach is encouraged in this study visit. Therefore in site visits are planned to the University Hospital Virgen Macarena, University Hospital Virgen del Rocio, Primary Healthcare Centre ‘Alamillo’, Andalusian Tele Assistance Service, Public Company for Health Emergencies of Andalusia.
